Shri Shiva Pandian, the RTI applicant, had sought a series of information related to his grievance with Airtel lodged vide Registration Nos. DOTEL/E/2020/53160 dated 28.12.2021, DOTEL/E/2021/06048 dated 18.2.2021 , DOTEL/E/2021/06168 dated 19.02.2020 and DOTEL/E/2021/06276 dated 20.02.2021. In the RTI application the applicant had also sought to know about the duties and responsibilities of Nodal Authorities Appeal (CPGRAMS) and the grievance redressal mechanism of DoT. Shri Yogesh Kumar, Director MOC-PG & CPIO has provided to the RTI applicant vide his letter No. 37-35/2021/MOC PG/RTI dated 25.03.2021 whatever information available in his office.

However, following additional information is provided to the RTI applicant

i) With regard to para 1 to 3 of RTI application, the mandate and authority of PG in DoT is clearly given in DoT Website https://dot.gov.in/public-grievances.

ii) With regard to para 4 to 6 of the RTI applicant, it is informed to the RTI applicant that the appeal system in CPGRAMS was introduced recently. In that respect Shri Parmod Kumar, Director PG-I & CPIO is hereby directed to give a reply to the RTI applicant.

iii) Further, with regard to para 7 to 18 of the RTI application. The RTI applicant is informed that that as per mandate available at DoT Website https://dot.gov.in/public-grievances any grievance sent by e-mail shall not be attended to/entertained.

The appeal is hereby disposed of.

The applicant may exercise the option of 2nd appeal u/s 19 of the RTI Act 2005 by filing the same with the Central Information Commission, Baba Gang Nath Marg, 3rd Floor, Munirka, New Delhi – 110067 within 90 days of receipt of this communication.”
