2.  The afore-said Tender has been floated now and the Tender document No. 30-170-2/2006-USF is on sale w.e.f. 30.10.09 and the same is posted on the DoT website www.dot.gov.in for information . A copy of the NOTICE INVITING TENDER is enclosed at Encl. 1 for your information please.

                           NOTICE INVITING TENDER

 

 

No. 30-170-2/2006-USF                                                                                        Date:  30.10.09

 

On behalf of the President of India, sealed tenders are hereby invited for the Service Area of Assam from shortlisted National Long Distance Operators, Infrastructure Providers Category-II and licensed Basic Services Operators (BSO), Cellular Mobile Telephone Service (CMTS) Providers, Unified Access Services Licensees (UASL) in the State of Assam for the scheme of “Support from USO Fund for augmentation, creation and management of intra-district SDHQ – DHQ Optical Fibre Cable (OFC) network for transport of rural/remote areas-traffic on bandwidth sharing basis in Assam”. The support from the USO Fund shall be provided to the successful Bidder at the representative rate arrived through the single stage Bidding process. The subsidy support shall be provided over the duration of the Agreement in a phased manner.

 

 

2      PURCHASE OF TENDER DOCUMENT

                 

The Bidders may purchase the tender document along with relevant specifications from the USOF Section, Room No.1311, Sanchar Bhawan, 20, Ashoka Road, New Delhi on payment of 25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand only), non refundable, in the form of a Account Payee Demand Draft drawn on any Scheduled Bank in New Delhi, in favour of the “Pay & Accounts Officer (HQ), Department of Telecom, New Delhi”. The tender document may be purchased on any working day between 14:00 Hrs. to 17:00 Hrs. from 30.10.2009 to 18.11.2009. The tender document is also available on DoT website www.dot.gov.in, which can be used only for information by interested parties.
